Too many kids are falling between the cracks at school — with Scott Barry Kaufman

Scott Barry Kaufman

“I believe that our standard model of intelligence is systematically letting far too many kids fall between the cracks in an educational system that has such limited notions of human potential.”

Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman

It can be a challenge to not only understand our kids but to get other people to truly see and understand our kids too. Do you ever feel like your child with a learning difference such as ADHD, dyslexia, or another learning disability is not completely seen in a holistic way? Do you feel like they may be falling through the cracks?

We are thrilled to have Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, cognitive scientist and author of Ungifted, Wired to Create and Transcend as one of our keynotes for our 7th Annual Summit which we are hosting virtually November 12th + 13th 2021.

Dr. Kaufman is an incredibly inspiring and insightful speaker, who allows people to look at learning, the concept of intelligence,  and the educational system with new perspectives.

Dr. Kaufman’s keynote is called “The Ability and Creativity Inside a Child with Learning Differences” where he will share his personal journey of having a learning disability, the path he took to determine what he is capable of and how he found a strategy to help him meet his goals.  He will also share the research findings that have led him to redefine intelligence, ability and creativity when it comes to children and learning differences.

Dr. Kaufman believes that we need to change the metrics of how we see “human potential” because too many people are falling through the cracks when we try to measure potential against standard models. He believes that we need a theory of intelligence that is holistic and takes into account the whole child. We should not be looking at ‘strengths and giftedness’ as separate silos to ‘challenges and disability.

It sounds pretty phenomenal, right? Guess what - you are officially invited to join us!

Dr. Kaufman’s keynote will be on Friday, November 12th from 1-2:30 pm EST and will be followed by many other exciting keynote speakers and community sessions.

The goal of our Summit is to support and inspire! The Summit will be valuable for both parents and professionals and is accessible to all through a donation-based model.

We believe that this information is incredibly important to share with as many people as possible if we are to help our kids with learning differences to be seen, understood, to decrease shame and stigma, to support, and help them see what they are capable of.

Sign up now to grab your seat for this Summit - we cannot wait for you to join us (virtually). Sessions will be recorded and available for a short time after the Summit for registrants to watch (or rewatch). If you have friends, family or colleagues who would also gain benefit from our Summit, please consider sharing this information!
