Why should we assess our kids to support their learning difference (such as ADHD, dyslexia or another learning disability) with Dr. Todd Cunningham
“Answers appear when the problem is clear”

Do you find it hard to understand what psychoeducational assessments are all about?
Do you wonder whether your child should be getting an educational assessment?
Do you wish you knew a little bit more about what the psych-ed report will tell you?
Do you have educational assessments from your child or student that you don’t really understand?
...Or maybe all of the above?
We get it. The world of assessments (psych-ed assessment, educational assessment, psyched report…) can feel a bit overwhelming. If you haven’t noticed already there are a lot of terms (and a lot of acronyms) that accompany the educational space.
When you start seeing struggles within your child that you wonder (or worry) about, or if a teacher brings a concern to you, you may feel like you are not sure what to do next. The assessment process can feel intimidating. And you may worry about your child receiving a “label”.
We are here to help you through this whole process. We are thrilled that Dr. Todd Cunningham, a School and Clinical Psychologist, a Professor at the University of Toronto and Founder of Bright Lights Psychology, will be joining us at our Summit this year on November 13th.
Dr. Cunningham has given over 650 presentations and workshops internationally to educators and psychologists on learning disabilities and how to support students with learning difficulties. He does an incredible job of breaking down the purpose of the assessment, when to assess, and helping us to understand the insights that assessments will provide. Our goal is to be able to understand the child so that we are able to help them with their unique needs.
“One of the key things about the assessment is that it is a manual. Now that we have a manual is it written in a way that allows us to understand
what those next steps are.”
— Dr. Todd Cunningham
Dr. Cunningham’s keynote is “Why do we assess: Psychoeducational Assessments now and in the future”. He will join other incredible keynotes: Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman, Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe, Sara Westbrook, and Shift Founders Susan Schenk + Sperry Bilyea.
Our virtual summit is free (by donation) and all sessions will be recorded (except the session Youth can attend with Sara Westbrook), so if you cannot attend live, you will still have access to the recordings for a week post-summit. Sign up now to have the opportunity to learn from these incredible minds.
